We invite a small circle of devoted bodyworkers to gather for a sacred 10-day pilgrimage to Japan in May 2027.
Together, we will experience the roots of Shiatsu — including Namikoshi Shiatsu, Ohashiatsu, and Masunaga sensei's Keiraku Shiatsu — while immersing ourselves in the quiet wisdom of Japanese culture. Through tea ceremony, traditional cooking, calligraphy, ikebana, temple visits, forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku 森林浴), and restorative hot springs, we will enter a rhythm of simplicity, presence, and renewal.
This journey is not only a study of technique, but a return to essence — 温故知新 (Onko Chishin) — honoring the past while discovering the new. Surrounded by Japan’s landscapes and spirit, we will refine touch, awaken the senses, and deepen our understanding of lineage.
