About the event

Ethics in Shiatsu Practice

Professional Integrity, Boundaries & the Healing Relationship

Instructor: Thin Thin Lay, RN, HWNC-BC

Ethical practice is at the heart of therapeutic touch.

Shiatsu is more than technique. It is a professional relationship built upon trust, respect, presence, communication, and responsibility. Because Shiatsu involves therapeutic touch and may create a deeply relaxed and vulnerable space, practitioners have a responsibility to maintain clear professional boundaries while honoring each client’s dignity, autonomy, comfort, and individual needs.

Ethics in Shiatsu Practice, taught by Thin Thin Lay, RN, HWNC-BC, provides Shiatsu students and practitioners with a practical and compassionate foundation for understanding and navigating the ethical responsibilities of professional practice.
