About the event
In this seminar, we will explore the roots of Shiatsu by tracing its history and examining the ancient art of Anma. Together, we will practice traditional hands-on techniques that form the foundation of Shiatsu.
We will also explore the importance of Dō In* and self-care Ki cultivating practice, engaging in a series of exercises and stretches designed to strengthen the connection between body and mind. Special attention will be given to cultivating awareness of our center in the abdomen—the Hara—as a source of grounding, balance, and presence.
This class is open to Shiatsu practitioners as well as practitioners of other manual and healing arts.
*Dō In is an ancient practice of conscious movement and breath used to guide Ki, balance the body, and cultivate health—a foundation of later Qigong practices.
