The Five Lights Center of Shiatsu is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork
(NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMTs
continuing education that is accepted by the state of New York for license renewal.

Training Programs Offered
Professional Zen Shiatsu Certification Training Program 

​

We offer a comprehensive curriculum based on traditional Japanese zen shiatsu. Students learn all aspects of the shiatsu practice in person and online. Courses count towards our 500-hour Zen Shiatsu Certification, which meets all national standards for the profession and enables graduates to apply for membership with the AOBTA (American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia).

Five Lights Intuitive Shiatsu™ Wellness Training Program

​

The Five Lights Intuitive Shiatsu™ Wellness Training Program provides a fundamental education in the Zen shiatsu style. The training is comprised of the first three levels of the Five Lights Center shiatsu courses, which can also count toward the fuller Zen Shiatsu Certification. Our training has a strong focus on self-awareness and self-development. The program may provide a healing journey to improve not only your well-being but also that of others.

Corporate Wellness Programs

These programs are designed to improve your team's wellness through Makko Ho, chair shiatsu, and

stretching. This ancient Japanese method of self-care aims to reduce stress and lift productivity. All ages and fitness levels can achieve lasting benefits from remote sessions.

Global Shiatsu Virtual Gathering

​

Shiatsu teachers, students, and practitioners meet to share knowledge and passion for the ancient Japanese Healing Arts. At the special event, the healing energy of self-care shiatsu is learned and practiced around the world from the comfort of home.

Annual Shiatsu Summit​

 

Join us for our Annual Shiatsu Summit, a unique opportunity to connect with inspiring, passionate Shiatsu students and instructors, both in-person and virtually, as we convene at a weekend retreat to spread the magic of Shiatsu into the next generation. The next Shiatsu Summit will be Apr 17-19, 2026, at the Himalayan Institute Retreat Center in Honesdale, PA.
